How To Pick A Babies Soap

If you pick the wrong soap it can be harmful to your baby's skin. In this article I intend on giving you some pointers on how to choose the right soap for your baby.

Many people don't understand that there are many different types of soap. And when it comes to baby soaps that's another story. You worry about so many different things at bath time. You wonder if the water is the right temperature. You hope you are holding the baby right. Everything is slippery and you don't want to let your baby slip. So with all this to worry about you shouldn't worry about keeping your baby's skin soft and safe.

Of course you want to do the best for your baby and of course you want your baby to be healthy. By keeping the child's skin healthy that will go a long way towards maintaining the health of your baby. So in saying that I have a few points to find the right soap.

You need soap that is gentle
 The soap should be hypoallergenic
The soap needs to be non-toxic
The soap should definitely be SLS free

It's so important to make sure the baby soap is very gentle so that it is not irritating to your baby's skin during bath time. Bath time is supposed to be pleasant so let's keep it that way. At this young age you don't know what your baby is allergic to yet so it's very important to use hypoallergenic soap.

Babies are always putting their hands and toes in their mouths so that's why it's very important to use soap that's non toxic. It will give you peace of mind to know that if your baby does swallow some soap no harm will be done. Sodium Laurel Sulphate is a very harsh chemical used to help your soap foam. In some soaps the SLS has damaged immune systems and it has inflamed skin. Now I am absolutely positive this is something you don't want to expose your baby to.

It's not odd for your baby to develop the occasional bump or rash in the first few weeks and months. Most of these will come and go naturally but by all means if you have some concerns then you should see your doctor.

I would recommend using natural baby soap. These soaps are only made from natural ingredients. These ingredients insure that your babies skin will remain soft and safe. For many things natural soaps can even help to soothe rashes or small skin irritations.

Organic Natural Baby Soap Information

Along with an organic natural baby soap being safe for your child's skin, it is also kind on the environment as well. The reason why such soaps are safe to use on children is that they contain no artificial ingredients, which can cause their sensitive skin to become irritated. Today there are numerous different kinds of natural organic baby soaps that one can buy. But what you may find that where one soap suits one child it may not actually suit yours so you may need to try several before you find the right one.

Yet even though you would be mainly using these kinds of soaps on your newborn baby these can also be used by other members of the family also. Although using ready-made natural organic products is good for your child's skin, you could if you want save money and make your own soap instead. Below we go through the steps you will need to take in order to make your own.

Along with the ingredients, there will be certain pieces of equipment that you will need as well. A large saucepan into which the mixture will be prepared, some goggles and a good pair of gloves. Step 1 - First, you will need to measure out all the ingredients in order to make your soap. For this particular soap recipe, you will need 15oz of olive oil, 5oz of palm oil and 5oz of coconut oil all of which should have been organically grown.

As well as the oils, you will need 8oz of distilled water and 3.5 oz of lye. Step 2 - Next, you need to prepare the lye you do this by adding it to the water and once it comes into contact with a chemical reaction occurs. As the lye comes into contact with the water it actually makes it heat up and it is best if you carry out this step outside because the mixture also lets off fumes.

Once the lye has been thoroughly mixed with the water, you need to let it stand in order for it to cool down. It is best to let it reach room temperature before you start the next step of the soap making process. Step 3 - After the lye mixture has reached room temperature, you now need to add the oils to this. But before you can do this, you will need to heat them up so place them all in the other pan and wait until they have reached the correct temperature.

Using a thermometer will help you to know when the right temperature has been reached for the oils. Step 4 - As soon as the oils have heated up you remove the pan from the heat and then very slowly begin to stir in the cooled down lye mixture. If you want, you can either mix the soap together by hand or use a stick blender instead.

Blending the mixture together by hand will take around 1 hour before the mixture is ready to be poured into a soap mould. However using a blender can save you not only a lot of energy but time as well. You know when the mixture is ready becomes it has become much thicker and opaque to look at. Step 5 - As soon as the mixture has reached the right consistency then you can pour it into moulds.

Once in the moulds you should allow the soap to stand for around 24 hours in a cool place so that it can set properly. After this time, the organic natural baby soap that you have made will be ready for you to use.

Fortunately, I got a solution of baby oil or baby lotion which worked out perfectly on his skin. I would like to suggest you one thing, if the product doesnt work than doctors help will be valuable and just dont keep on trying or experimenting on your babys skin. Let me add, one more important thing that if your baby is suffering from eczema then you need something more and better than what I have advised.

Popular Baby Shower Favors and Gifts

Baby Shower Favors

Baby shower favors are the perfect keepsake for both moms-to-be and baby shower guests. There are literally hundreds of potential baby shower favors. If you're not sure what baby shower favors will work best for an upcoming baby shower, consider purchasing one or more of the most popular types of baby shower favors:

Candles. Most women love candles: They can be used to bring a pleasant scent to a room or a home, or they can simply be displayed as attractive decorations, making candles one of the most popular baby shower favors. If you're creative and love trying new things, you can make your own candles.

Or, you can choose from an eclectic range of candles at such online shops as Discount Baby Shower Favors. If the mom-to-be is whimsical and fun, opt for the Baby Bottle Candle, an adorable candle in a glass vase and capped with a pink or blue bottle cap. Alternately, if the mom-to-be prefers classic candles, you'll find that Calla Lily Gel Candle is simple yet stunning.

Soap. Soap is traditionally popular as a baby shower favor. If you've never seen soap used as a baby shower favor, you're likely imagining something boring and simple. Not so. Soap can be a fun and an attractive baby shower gift; the Scented Heart Soap Favor in Gift Box , for example, is heart-shaped soap that comes in a box, complete with a beautiful bow.

Frames. Every family, especially those with a newborn, wants to decorate their home with favorite photographs of family members. Traditional baby shower favors, frames remain as one of the top gifts to give to guests of a baby shower. Frames used for baby shower favors are often either blue or pink. But, even if you don't know the gender of the baby, you can still present guests with an attractive frame - like the Leather Frame Keychain in Sheer Organza Bag - that they can keep for years.

Baby Shower Gifts

Buying baby shower gifts is often a challenge, considering there are some items that are often popular but not practical baby shower gifts. Many agree that purchasing clothes, bottles, or pacifiers is simply not a good idea. Because all newborns are born at different weights and grow rapidly, clothes aren't a realistic gift. And, while bottles and pacifiers may seem ideal, babies generally have their own preferences for bottles and pacifiers.

Rather than risk giving a baby shower gift that won't or can't be used, opt for a baby shower gift that the parents-to-be and the newborn are certain to love:

Bathsets. Every baby needs bathed, making bath sets one of the most popular baby shower gifts. Popular gift sets, like the Finley the Frog Bath Time Gift Set and Tillie the Turtle Bath Time Gift Set, often include a wash cloth, a hooded towel, and terry cloth slippers. A bath set is an affordable, popular baby shower gift that new parents can use again and again.

Burping cloths. Every baby needs burped, making burping cloths a perennial favorite baby shower gift. You can generally find burping cloths in all colors, but the most popular are those that are pink and blue.

Booster pillow. A booster pillow still stands as one of the most popular baby shower gifts, and some can be used as both a sturdy pillow and a soft toy to cuddle. Some booster pillows, among them Bailey the Bunny Cashmere Soft Booster Pillow, also come with a growth chart, which allow mom and dad to chart their new little one's growth progress.
